serving families and family offices

Celsinus Advisory partners with philanthropic individuals, families and organizations to examine, plan, manage, and measure charitable giving activity. Agnostic to specific causes or places, these services assist donors in defining their strategic goals for philanthropy, and work for the donor in charitable giving. Services include:

  • Private Foundation Administration + Governance — facilitation of annual and/or recurring Board meetings; scheduling and managing regulatory and tax compliance; records maintenance

  • Gate Keeping, Proposal Review + Due Diligence — providing private foundations, DAF holders, corporate giving programs, and others a “front door” for receiving of solicited and unsolicited requests; offering a “first review” screening according to donor-determined parameters; proposal scoring; due diligence review of recipient organizations; and point of contact communications

  • Strategy + Planning — planning across near-, mid-, and/or long-term and multi-generational timelines for the structure, purpose, and objectives of charitable giving activities

  • Budgeting + Forecasting — assisting high net worth individuals and families (HNWI) in developing budgets for distribution of existing charitable assets as well as forecasting for the pace and mechanisms for growth of charitable resources over time

  • Sourcing — seeking mission-aligned charitable programs for potential funding AND seeking co-funding grantor opportunities for solicitation

  • Grant Evaluation + Impact Measurement — outcome measurement following philanthropic investments, capture of ongoing beneficiary data; collection of environmental, capital, community, and/or individual benefits resulting from investments

  • Philanthropic Succession + Generational Planning — planning multi-generational participation in charitable giving decision-making and foundation and/or DAF succession planning

serving not-for-profit organizations

Our legacy consulting practice has assisted charities across America in raising more than $800 million. Celsinus Partners continues to provide services to not-for-profit organizations in areas of strategy, fundraising, governance, and executive development. Services include:

  • Board Development + Volunteer Management — crafting roles to engage the most influential volunteer leaders in the cause; building Board profile strategies to ensure the strongest possible mix of skills, talents, attributes, and authority to lead not-for-profit organizations

  • Executive Coaching — supporting the on-going professional development of non-profit leaders and helping CEO/ED leaders grow relevant skills to “manage up” to their Boards while leading and inspiring their fundraising and program staffs and faculty

  • Feasibility Planning — preserving the “perception of success” by guiding organizations to right-size major fundraising campaigns to inspire ambition backed by achievable goals and objectives

  • Major Gift Fundraising + Campaign Management — translating the organizational needs to clear, compelling, and relevant donor-centric presentations; tailor strategies for leadership donor engagement and investment; delivering project management expertise to multi-year fundraising campaigns that drive immediate results while building long-term organizational capacity.

In a purposefully different approach, Celsinus Partners approaches each client relationship with a clear understanding of established best-practices, and then endeavors to develop fundraising plans from a ‘blank page’ starting point. We seek to create campaign plans; not replicate them. Our experience has shown that the most effective strategies are singular to the environment.
